When a community gains access to clean water, women and girls get hours of time back in their days. No longer having to walk long distances hauling water, girls can go to school and women are freed to contribute to their families in more productive ways.
Our project aims to provide community water supply systems to 9 villages, providing 25,000 people clean water access. Together, we are also training 4,000 women and girls on household empowerment to encourage women to be decision-makers for their homes and create savings groups for women-led income generation.
The water4Her campaign is an opportunity for World Vision to join a great and diverse network of organizations who are all passionate about bringing fullness of life to women and girls in East Africa through access to clean water.
